Day Care
There's a warm welcome waiting at local venues offering social opportunities such as pop-ins, lunch clubs, friendship clubs and many other activities.

Who can attend?
People who live in Bournemouth and who meet the criteria for day centre support may be able to attend a local day centre. There is an assessment process to find out if your needs can be met by attending a day centre.

How your needs are assessed
A social worker or care manager will meet with you to talk about your situation and care needs. If someone provides a lot of regular assistance for you we also consider their needs. Your assessed level of need shows us whether attending a day centre is the best way of meeting your needs and, if so, how many times you attend each week.
To apply for an assessment of your needs contact us on (01202) 454979.

Charges
Unless otherwise stated, there will be a charge for each time you attend you attend the centre, for lunch and for drinks.

Travel to the centre
You can walk or make your own way to the centre but if you're unable to do this we may be able to help with transport. This will be discussed during the assessment. If we do provide transport please be ready when the driver calls and let us know if you can't attend at any time.
