Residential Care

Community Care Services provides residential care for older people, people with a mental illness and people with learning disabilities.

Who can attend?
People who live in Bournemouth and who meet the criteria for residential support may be able to move in to a residential care home. There is an assessment process to find out if your needs can be met by moving in to residential care. We provide residential care for older people, people with mental health needs, people with a learning disability and children.

How your needs are assessed
A social worker or care manager will meet with you to talk about your situation and care needs. If someone provides a lot of regular assistance for you we also consider their needs. Your assessed level of need shows us whether moving to a residential care home is the best way of meeting your needs.

To apply for an assessment of your needs
Contact Bournemouth Care Direct on 01202 454979.

Safety and Security
Regular visits are made by the Fire Safety Officer, the Registration and Inspection Unit and Bournemouth Social Services Catering Officer.
