STREET SERVICES

Bournemouth Borough Council is responsible for making sure our roads are maintained, accessible and safe; and we provide a number of key services including:

• A Street Cleansing service to help keep our neighbourhoods clean and free from litter, flytipping and graffiti.
• A Highway Maintenance service to make sure the network is as safe as possible.
• A Street Lighting service to ensure our streets are well lit and faults are dealt with quickly.
• A Traffic Signal Unit to make sure traffic lights are checked regularly and problems dealt with efficiently.
• A Winter Service to ensure the priority road network is kept clear of snow and ice.
• We also provide a 24-hour emergency service that responds to situations such as dangerous potholes, flooding and road traffic accidents.
