Births, Marriages, Civil Partnerships and Deaths
Bournemouth Registration Service is responsible for the registration of births, marriages and deaths, and the issuing of birth, marriage and death certificates, for the Bournemouth registration district. We also conduct civil marriage ceremonies, including civil partnerships and marriages in licensed premises. The Registration Service also offers Welcoming ceremonies and renewal of vows ceremonies.

Registrars are available for birth and death registrations, notices of marriage and notices of civil partnerships between Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm by appointment only. If you need to see a Registrar please contact the Registration Service to book an appointment. Our telephone line is open Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5.15pm and Friday from 8.30am to 4.15pm.
We hold all birth, death and marriage registers for Bournemouth dating back to 1837. Copies of any certificates can be ordered using a credit or debit card by telephone or click
here to access a form to complete and post with a cheque made payable to "Bournemouth Borough Council."
