The Change for Children Board - Bournemouth's Children's Trust
Senior representatives of all major local organisations working for and on behalf of children and young people and their families have joined together to form a multi-agency executive Change for Children Board, acting as a Children's Trust for Bournemouth. The Board has two key purposes:
To oversee the change process associated with implementing the “Change for Children” agenda To exercise shared responsibility for performance of services to children and young people in Bournemouth.
A Shared Commitment All member organisations and partners are dedicating staff time to operational multi-agency projects and further developing co-operative working. Many are also involved in “pooling resources” to fund special support and care packages for children and young people. Patterns of working are changing across all services as local Children’s Trust arrangements become simply “the way we do things.”
All of the organisations involved are committed to developing and maintaining equality, diversity and good race relations, and to improving the education and care of children and young people of all backgrounds. These key aims will continue to be promoted through the work and influence of all partners.
