A brand new Children and Young People's Plan - Update 2008
A brand new Children and Young People's Plan has been published, setting out how agencies will be working together to tackle the really big priorities for Bournemouth, including
- Improving pupils' progress at school
- Improving support for parents
- Decreasing levels of substance/alcohol abuse
- Reducing the number of 16-18 year olds who are NEET (ie not in education, training or employment)
- Improving opportunities for young people to take part in positive activities.
The new plan builds on the preventative work that began with our first Plan, and on the review of Children's Services carried out in 2007. It has been shaped by the views of children, young people and their families.
