Dorset Heathlands interim planning framework 2006-2009

The Local Authorities party to ‘The Dorset Heathlands Interim Planning Framework 2006-2009’ have prepared a strategy to ensure that there is no net increase in urban pressures on internationally important heathland as a result of additional development. Consultation on this document closed on 20 November 2006.
In addition to this document a background paper was produced that informed the planning framework.

The public consultation document as well as the Background Paper can be found on the websites of the relevant local authorities i.e. Bournemouth, Christchurch, Dorset, East Dorset, Poole and Purbeck and in local libraries.

The local authorities considered the representations received during the public consultation period and adopted the framework in early 2007.
