This report is an integral element of the Local Transport Plan and has three main purposes:

1. It provides an interim report on how the Councils are meeting their obligations under the Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997
2. It sets out all the existing available transport related data, thus continuing a long standing commitment in producing an annual Transport Statistics report, and
3. It provides base information for the long-term monitoring of the Local Transport Plan
