Bournemouth Supporting People and Homes for People teams invite Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced organisations wishing to tender for contracts for the provision of two homelessness services to be delivered in Bournemouth:
The Council has these services currently in place with contracts due to expire on 31 March 2009. The contracts are intended to commence on 1 April 2009 for a period of two years for 2009/10 and 2010/11. The contracts are likely to end on 31 March 2011. There is a possibility of extending the new contracts for up to a further three years, to be approved annually.
Details of Services required:
The Council is looking firstly for the delivery of an outreach rough sleeper team which will deliver assertive outreach services for rough sleepers within the Bournemouth area to encourage them to access housing and related services indoors. They will be the main service for reconnecting rough sleepers with areas they have connections with.
The Council is looking secondly for the delivery of an independent housing advice service for the Borough with the main aim of homelessness prevention to complement the Council’s advice service and other advice provision. This service will coordinate the network of advice agencies across the Borough and deliver a programme of training for housing agencies.
