You may have to pay for services you receive. How much you pay| depends on what you can afford.

There is always a charge for residential care|.

There is no charge for the Home from Hospital Service for a maximum of up to six weeks.

Our charging policy

We make charges in line with the Department of Health’s Fairer Charging guidelines. This means we must make sure our charging policy:

• is fair to everyone
• is easy to understand
• gives good value for money
• takes into account your ability to pay.

We also provide information to help you make the most of your income and choose services that meet your needs.

Assessing your finances

We assess your finances| to work whether you have to pay for services and, if so, how much.

Your needs are assessed separately from your finances.

When we assess your finances we also make sure you are receiving the benefits you are entitled to. We offer support to apply for benefits you are not claiming
