Boscombe Resource Centre

What we do

At the Boscombe Resource Centre we enable and support people to be independent. We expect Centre users to take an active role in activities and to work with us to achieve their potential.

Who can we support?

You can use the Resource Centre if you have:

  • a physical disability
  • a sight or hearing impairment
  • mental health needs.

Your needs must meet the criteria for support| from Community Care Services.

How we provide support

We understand it is important for you to have control of your own life. You can share the running of Centre groups and activities with staff and volunteers. Our approach leads to many benefits including improved confidence, feeling valued and the ability to take risks.

Working together means we can:

  • support you as you get involved in the local community
  • promote positive messages about disability and mental health
  • encourage you to develop or re-learn leisure, education or work skills
  • support carers with short breaks, social evenings and the chance to share concerns with staff.
