Electric Vehicle Charging Point Information

 

 

Bournemouth Borough Council are proud to announce the installation of the first charging points within the borough.

 

Which car park has the charging points?

 

The vehicle charging points are situated in the Richmond Gardens Multi storey Car Park .

 

Where are the points situated?

 

The charging point are situated adjacent to the exit of the car park

 

How many charging points does the car park have?

 

There are two charging points within the Richmond Gardens Multi Storey Car Park.

 

Are there specific times that the charging points are available?

 

You can charge your vehicle 7 days a week between the hours of 8am-6pm.

 

Do I have to pre register to use this facility?

 

No – There is no pre registration necessary just park in the charging bay and follow the instructions to obtain a key and start charging your vehicle. However, if you are going to use the service regularly you may wish to apply for a permit which includes a key for ease of access to the service. See application form| for more details.

 

Do I have to pay to charge my vehicle?

 

No – You may charge your vehicle free of charge.

 

How long can I charge my vehicle for?

 

You may charge your vehicle for a period of four hours. After four hours please move your vehicle to another parking bay.

 

Do I have to leave the car park after I have charged my vehicle?

 

No - After you have charged your vehicle simply move it to a ordinary vehicle parking bay.

I regularly use this service is there a permit available to access the car park more easily?

 

Yes – A Free permit is available.  Please see application| form for more details.

 

 

What do I get if I apply for a permit?

 

You will be issued a key and a permit to enable you to enter and exit the car park easily free of charge.
