Trains, coaches and local bus services feed into the main Bournemouth Rail and Coach station – also known as the Travel Interchange.
The Council provides an information office at the site which is staffed 7 days a week from 8.00am to 5.00pm (lunchtime closure between 1.15pm and 2.15pm). The office can provide tourist information and an accommodation booking service together with local bus tickets and passes.

‘More’ M1 and M2 Night Buses| - Bournemouth Council contributes to the night buses which operate on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Council tries to provide supported bus routes to benefit as many residents as possible – especially in areas where there are no commercial bus services.
Shelters at bus stops are provided by the Council through our contract with Clearchannel. All shelters are identified by a number which starts 2201, please provide if possible.
National Express provides regular coach services from Bournemouth Rail and Coach Station to London Victoria, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and many other destinations throughout the UK. National Express has a booking office at the Rail and Coach Station or, alternatively, visit their website www.nationalexpress.com|
The Greyhound service that operated between Bournemouth and London Victoria has been withdrawn from 4 December 2011.
Bournemouth Accessible Transport Bus – the BAT bus
The BAT bus is a door to door service available to residents living in postcodes BH1 to BH11 and who are unable to use other public transport. The BAT mini-buses are fully accessible, run on weekday mornings and travel to Castlepoint Shopping Centre and the Sovereign Shopping Centre in Boscombe. Clients are picked up from their homes and given around 2 hours at the shopping centre before being returned back home. Wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs can be accommodated on the BAT buses and help is always provided with loading shopping.
The annual membership fee is £6.00 and a return shopping trip costs £4.00
A programme of afternoon and full day outings is also available to members.

This is a community run service which is for the elderly and those who are unable to use public transport. The service is provided by a team of volunteer drivers who use their own cars and can help with everyday needs. Mileage is charged at 41p a mile which is calculated from the driver’s home. At a number of key bus stops in Bournemouth an electronic display indicates when the next buses are due. The sign will show either a time for the bus to arrive or a countdown in minutes of when the bus is due.

There are two stations in the area – Bournemouth and Pokesdown (for Boscombe).
