Spring Is Here - May and June

Beech Leaves

May and June are very exciting months to be out nature spotting. Wild flowers are blooming

everywhere in the countryside, more and more insects appear on the wing, and it is the best

time to hear bird song  -  both that of resident species such as Robins, Wrens, Dunnocks,

Blackbirds and Song Thrushes, as well as migrant species from Africa, including the various

warblers.

You can get out there and explore on your own, or else you can join one of the many and

varied guided walks that the Community Parks and Countryside officers lead. To find out
