Rosso Coral - Ramaria botrytis
This species is one of the more unusual types of fungi, and is in the group called Coral Fungi. As you can see from the picture, this is a very apt description, as this species looks very much like a sea coral.
This one was photographed at Knyveton Gardens, growing out of some wood chip spread amongst the flower beds to keep weeds in check. More commonly, it grows on the ground in broad-leaved wooland, between late summer and late autumn.
