A regular wildlife walk on one of Bournemouth's many nature reserves or open spaces.
Early Morning on Kinson Common
Monday Morning Meanders - information updated on 16/04/08
Do you enjoy walking? Are you interested in wildlife? Do you enjoy good company? Then why not join us on one of our Monday Morning Meanders? Each week, we visit one of Bournemouth's superb areas of countryside, many of which are Local Nature Reserves. Depending on the time of year, we look for birds, flowers, trees, insects, mammals, autumn fruits, fungi and much more. Plenty of information is imparted on the walks about the flora and fauna we see, including folklore and even some poetry!
We have an average turnout of over 50 people each week, and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Indeed, the emphasis of the walks is very much about having an enjoyable time, and we don't take things too seriously. So, why not come along one Monday and find out for yourself.
The walks take place every Monday, except Bank Holidays - very occasionally, there might be a walk on a Bank Holiday. All the walks start at 10am, and last around two hours or so. The walks take place in all but the worst weather - a little bit of rain doesn't put us off! There is no need to book - just come along when you can.
Please note, there is now a charge of £1.00 per person for the walks.
See the current list for forthcoming meanders.
