General Beach Regulations

Here are some ways that you can help make the seafront safe and enjoyable for everyone...
 
Performances
It is not permissible to deliver lectures, sermons, performances of music or other entertainments.
  
Games & Activities
When participating in activities on the seafront ensure that you are not causing danger or annoyance to other seafront users.
 
Begging
It is not permissible to beg or solicit money or goods verbally or by the distribution of handbills, circulars or advertisements, from persons using the seafront.
 
Parties & Barbecues
Please don't hold parties or barbecues unless Bournemouth Seafront have been notified and consent given.
 
Barbecue areas are available on the seafront, contact us for further details.
 
Music
Show consideration for other seafront users and keep music volume to a sensible level. If music can be heard within 50 feet of its source then it is likely that a Seafront Ranger will ask you to turn it down.
 
Climbing on Walls, Fences, Cliffs etc.
It is not permissible to climb any wall or fence enclosing the seashore, promenades or cliffs. Climbing on the cliff faces is also not permitted, many areas of cliff have been notified as Sites of Special Scientific Interest - so help us preserve these areas.
 
Animals
Unless specific permission has been given it is an offence to bring any circus or zoo animals or any beast of draught or burden.
 
Posting of Placards
Fixing of bills, placards or notices to any part of the seafront is not permitted.
