LV= KidZone – Lost Children Scheme
Very simply, the LV= KidZone scheme is there to make a visit to the beach an altogether safer and less stressful experience for thousands of families each year.
How does the scheme work?
From the 1st July to the first week in September, LV= Kidzone helps you to keep track of your children during your visit to the beach. It's as wasy as 1,2,3...
1. Collect your FREE waterproof wristbands from the nearest Seafront office, or a member of the KidZone team.
2. Write your contact phone number on them, but not a name. Put one on each child's wrist.
3. Sit between the KidZone beach markers that match the colour on your wristband.
First involved in KidZone in 1996, LV= has now returned with an increased commitment over a three year period. Their sponsorship brings three new improvements to the scheme:
-
Increasing the number of differently coloured sections of the beach from three to eight
-
A new dedicated KidZone beach chalet information point next to Bournemouth Pier
-
Five dedicated beach staff who work in the KidZone

What happens if my child gets lost?
When you pick up your wristbands, you will be asked to write a contact mobile phone number on them making it easy for the KidZone team to contact you if they find your kids wondering in the wrong zone.
If you notice your child is missing please alert a uniformed official on the seafront eg:
-
KidZone member of staff – lime green T-shirt
-
RNLI Beach Lifeguard – yellow t-shirt, red shorts
-
Council Seafront Office or any member of staff on the beach – light blue T-shirts
-
Patrolling Police
They will alert all officials on the seafront and the emergency services via Poole Bay radio control room and a co-ordinated search will begin. During the summer, over 120 officials will be working across the seafront at any one time, enabling a thorough search to be undertaken quickly.
