Bournemouth Borough Council operates and maintains 17 public toilet facilities ranged across 5 1/2 miles of promenade between Alum Chine and Southbourne.

Opening hours
6.30am - 10pm: Easter to end of September
8.30am to dusk: October to March
Winter closure
Boscombe West, Portman Ravine, Gordon's Zig Zag and Warren Edge closed Mondays to Fridays, open weekends and holidays, October to March.
Daily Inspection and Cleaning
Each toilet block is inspected and cleaned three times per day, increasing in season (Easter to end of September). All cleaning materials used are environmentally friendly.
Toilets are well maintained inside and out. Blockages are attended to within 2 hours (Easter to end of September) and within 1 day (October to March).
Sanitary waste bins are provided and are emptied daily (Easter to end of September)

- Durley Chine, by beach office
- Bournemouth West, west of Bournemouth Pier by Happylands arcade
- Bournemouth Pier, east side of pier entrance building
- Bournemouth East, east of Bournemouth Pier between Harry Ramsden's and beach office
- Coasters, west of Boscombe Pier
- Portman Ravine
- Fisherman's Walk
- Gordon's Zig Zag
- Southbourne, by beach office

On going improvements
Bournemouth Borough Council undertakes regular improvements and upgrades to seafront public toilets.
Recent investment has seen Manor Steps refurbished 2005, Bournemouth East and West refurbished 2005, Southbourne refurbished 2006, Portman Ravine refurbished 2007, East Undercliff refurbished December 2007, Boscombe West (New, 2007), Warren Edge refurbished 2008.
Winter 2008 will see the completion of new toilet facilities in the Boscombe Overstrand building.
