  • Advice on sport club development, running events & competitions etc
  • Find out more about disability sport
  • Advice on becoming a sports coach or volunteer
  • Coach education programmes

Brand new ‘Hub Club’ bringing sport into the community

Bournemouth Borough Council in conjunction with Bournemouth School Sports Trust and Sport England has built Dorset's first unique sporting ‘Hub Club’ at the Sir David English Sports Centre, which is providing a much needed link between local sports clubs and the community.

The 'Hub Club', provides the following facilities and services with the aim of tackling the governments national objective to get at least 50% of the UK population more physically active by 2020.

  • A consultation service for local sporting clubs to get advice on how to recruit and develop local athletic talent and get the community interested in local sporting activities
  • A multi purpose training room which will be available for sports clubs to hire for teaching, coaching and meetings.
  • A low impact training studio for activities such as yoga, pilates, dance & body conditioning

For further information on this new project please contact the new Hub Club Cordinator Sarah Park
