Football opportunities in Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth in collaboration with the Sports Development Team at the Council, have strengthened an already strong partnership by linking AFC Bournemouth soccer school’s with the Littledown's and Sir David English to create, without doubt, the best soccer school in the South West.
The combination of the Leisure Services fantastic facilities together with AFC Bournemouth's prestigious reputation should make for a winning team. The new Soccer Schools will run every school holiday and will be open to boys and girls aged 8-14 years old.
Whether you're just looking for fun or want to learn to bend it like Beckham, there is a soccer school to suit every ability. There's even a chance you'll meet your favourite AFC Bournemouth player.

Disabled Football
AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth Borough Council have strengthened their links and are running a regular coaching programme of football coaching for disabled athletes. Coaching sessions are run at the Littledown Centre every Thursday from 4:00 - 5:30 at a cost of £1.50 per session and will take place throughout the year, excluding school holidays and will be run on a pay & play basis. Further sessions will be implemented at other schools in the area.
The council and AFC Bournemouth have been successful in applying for funding from One-One Disability Counts, a national scheme, which links professional football clubs from all over the country and is supported by the FA, Sport England and The Football Foundation. Coach Education
For those wishing to take the game further than just playing, why not try your hand at becoming a qualified coach or even a referee! All you have to do is book on a Hampshire FA or Dorset FA coaching course, based at various sites across the Borough. Courses vary from Junior team managers to UEFAB license or even first aid. News:
St Peters School in Southbourne have recently been awarded the FA Charterd Standard Award for the best football development programme of all the schools within the Soouth West.
The Charter Standard for Schools programme is a kite marking scheme that establishes minimum standards of football development in schools. It is also a means by which good practice is recognised and will raise standards by sharing this good practice.
This is a great achievement for the school and now sets the standards for the rest of the schools in the Borough will have to follow.
Littledown Juniors
Littledown Juniors is the largest Football Club in the country for boys and girls aged 3 to 17 years with over 1300 children playing every week. We have over 150 teams playing in leagues in the different age groups.
