Bournemouth Borough Council has a dedicated Economic Development Unit which works to support the local economy by:-
- Promoting Bournemouth and encouraging inward investment
- Supporting local business exhibitions and events
- Producing a business directory for the conurbation
- Supporting training schemes for local businesses
- Encouraging start-up businesses
- Working with other local business support organisations
- Helping Bournemouth firms to trade abroad
- Commissioning economic research and supplying economic information
- Supporting local regeneration projects
- Working with other local authorities on economic projects.
