Bournemouth Drug & Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)

WELCOME to the Bournemouth Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) website.

Bournemouth DAAT is the local multi-agency partnership responsible for delivering the National Drug Strategy (NDS) across the Borough of Bournemouth.

The NDS has 4 main aims:

  • Treatment - to enable people with drug and/or alcohol problems to overcome them and live healthy, crime free lives.
  • Young People - to help young people resist drug and/or alcohol misuse in order to achieve their full potential in society.
  • Communities - to protect our communities from drug and/or alcohol related anti-social and criminal behaviour.
  • Supply - to stifle the supply of illegal drugs.

Bournemouth DAAT recognises that reducing the misery and distress caused by the misuse of drugs and/or alcohol can only be achieved through co-ordinated action across all 4 aims of the NDS and through close partnership working with everyone who has an interest in making Bournemouth an even better place to live.

This website has been set up to provide information about the work of the DAAT but more importantly to offer information and guidance to ANYONE living in Bournemouth whose life is being adversley effected by drug and/or alcohol misuse.
