The header, which appears at the top of the screen appears on every page throughout the site. This enables you to access the search function, the A-Z, and the site map at all times. The Home button and the Bournemouth Online logo enables you to go back to the first page of the website.
The home page provides information for four main areas: Leisure, Living, Business and Council:
- Visitors provides information about all the leisure and tourims activities in Bournemouth, including libraries, events, health, fitness, sport, the seafront, parks and gardens, as well as a link to the tourism website.
- Residents provides information on all services relating to your living needs in Bournemouth. These include housing, social services, libraries, planning & development, education, leisure, council tax payments, waste & recycling and the environment. It also includes useful information for those wanting to move into the area.
- Business provides information on all business related services in Bournemouth, including conferencing information and exhibitions, environmental health, the local economy and workforce.
- Council details all the information about the Council, how it works, Councillor information, minutes and agendas, the Council diary, and department information.
The Search button allows you to enter a keyword(s) to help you find information easily.
The Contact button provides information on how to contact the Council. This page also tells you how to make a complaint.
The Site Map shows the structure of the site and illustrates where the order in which information sits.
The A-Z of services lists all the services offered by the Council, with telephone numbers and email addresses where appropriate.

Site Development
Our website is constantly under development and we aim to redesign it every 18 months. The last redesign was launched in April 2004. We would welcome your views - please email the Web Manager (below) with any comments.
The site uses the Punch Content Management system. This enables the site to be updated easily and regularly. If you think that there is any information missing please let us know on the email below.
