Tourist Accommodation Supplementary Planning Document
Find out about this adopted SPD
In April 2016 the Council adopted the Tourist Accommodation Supplementary Planning Document. This SPD will be an important consideration in the way the Council deals with planning applications involving tourist accommodation such as hotels and guest houses. The SPD replaces the previous Tourism SPG adopted in 2004.
The Bournemouth Local Plan: Core Strategy adopted 2012 sets out a Borough wide approach to tourism and includes Policy CS28 (Tourist Accommodation). The SPD articulates how the policy requirements will be assessed in more detail.
