The Local Land Charges section within Democratic Services is responsible for maintaining the Local Land Charges Register and processing local searches normally submitted by solicitors as an essential part of property transactions.

Optional Enquiries: Question 22 submitted separately incurs an administration charge of £10.
Please note: when submitting a request for a full local search you need to include forms LLC1 and Con 29 in duplicate.
NEWS:
· The request is submitted by the same applicant as the original search request.
· A maximum of 2 refreshes per property in one calendar year
· This service is only available on full Local Authority Residential Searches.

The current turnaround time for the week commencing 24/11/08 is 2 working days.

The Local Land Charges reception is located at the St Stephen’s Road entrance to the main town hall complex. The office is open from 9.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.00pm on Friday.
