Annual Civic Service
Everyone welcome!

BOURNEMOUTH'S MAYOR-MAKING CEREMONY

The Mayor-Making Ceremony is one of the first items on the Agenda of the Annual Council Meeting which is usually held on the last Friday in May. The event takes place either at the BIC or the Pavilion Theatre and members of the public are welcome to attend.

For details of the times and venue, call Democratic & Member Support Services on (01202) 454935.

BOURNEMOUTH'S ANNUAL CIVIC SERVICE

The Annual Civic Service to welcome the new Mayor of Bournemouth is always held at St Peter's Church, usually on the first Sunday immediately after the Mayor-Making Ceremony.

The Civic Party, in full robes, processes to Bournemouth's Civic Church (St. Peter's) for the start of the Service.

The newly-elected Mayor of Bournemouth always extends a warm welcome to the people of Bournemouth to attend this special morning Service. An advertisement giving the time of the Service usually appears in The Daily Echo a few days before the event. Alternatively, contact Democratic Services on (01202) 454935.
