The Student Support Team deals with all of the applications from Bournemouth residents who are entering, or continuing in, Higher Education in 2007/08.
It doesn’t matter which college or university you are going to study at; if you will be living in Bournemouth at the time of applying then you should apply to Bournemouth!

You should apply online at:
http://www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk

Alternatively you can contact the student support team and request a paper application form by emailing:
student.support@Bournemouth.gov.uk

Or by calling:
(01202) 456237 or (01202) 456355

Lines are open from 2pm to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 2pm to 4:30pm on Friday.

During May and June 2007 you can also come and see a student support officer.
They will be available between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons, but this is by appointment only. To make a booking please contact or visit The One Stop Information Service at:

Dorset House
20-22 Christchurch Road
Bournemouth
BH1 3NL
(01202) 456224

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you applying for Higher Education Student Support then please note the following important deadlines:

NEW STUDENTS:  29th June 2007
CONTINUING STUDENTS: 25th May 2007

These are the dates by which you must submit your application and all supporting evidence in order for your support to be assessed before the start of term.

Once your online application has been submitted, or your paper application has been received, the student support team will let you know roughly when you can expect your support to be assessed. This can take up to 6-8 weeks so please make your application as early as possible.
