BIC and Pavilion’s Late Night Walk Raises Over £600 for Charity
In the middle of the night last month a team of staff from the BIC and Pavilion raised £683.50 for Round Table Children’s Wish (RTCW), as part of their Midnight Wish Walk.
The 10K walk from Bournemouth to Southbourne and back took place on Friday 25th April and the nine staff braved the late night conditions in style with the charity’s pink bunny ears and sashes. Clare Jones, Event Coordinator at the BIC and Pavilion said: “Round Table Children’s Wish is a fantastic charity and we were pleased that we could be part of the walk and raise money for such a worthwhile cause. To top it off, we had a really fun night!”
Round Table Children’s Wish is a national charity based in Bournemouth that grants wishes to children throughout the UK suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Founded in 1990, the charity has granted over 1,650 wishes to date.
Davina Nichols, Fundraising Coordinator at Round Table Children’s Wish said: “Every bit helps and the girls did a great job. Our thanks go to the BIC and Pavilion team for their support. The money raised by the Midnight Wish Walk will go towards granting wishes to children locally.”
The all female team raised £683.50 through sponsorship donated by BIC and Pavilion work colleagues, family and friends. To view the sponsorship details, please visit http://www.justgiving.com/bicmidnightwishwalk.
