It has been confirmed today that the Stokewood Leisure Centre has been ranked as the 15th top performing leisure facility in the
Particular areas that the Stokewood Leisure Centre performed well in included;
Colette Kiernander, Centre Manager is delighted with the result. She said,
“We have achieved a highly commended rating and an overall scoring of 80% which is a 5% increase on our previous assessment in 2006 and puts us on a par with the Littledown Centres scoring! This is a fantastic achievement by all the staff and I would like to thank everyone for their involvement and contribution towards achieving this wonderful result.”
Councillor Beverley Dunlop, Cabinet member for the Economy and Tourism said,
“I am thrilled that the Stokewood Leisure Centre has achieved such a brilliant result. This demonstrates Bournemouth Borough Councils commitment to providing efficient leisure facilities whilst maintaining a high quality of product and service.”
The Stokewood Leisure Centre will be significantly improving its facilities later on this year with a £330,000 investment to increase the size of the gym by over 70% and to build a new spinning studio.
