Bournemouth Library is an extensive (3,850 sqm) library space which opened in 2002.
The entrance is on the ground floor and, as well as the stairs, there are two lifts from the ground floor foyer to the other floors.

There are special 'Zones' for Children, Teens, Lending and Reference Information (Ask Here) on the first floor, and on the second floor are the Music and local Heritage Zones.

Study tables are provided on both floors as well as areas of comfortable seating for relaxing and reading.
There are many cafes, pubs and sandwich shops in the immediate area.
Bournemouth Libary won the Prime Minister's Better Public Buildings Award in 2003.
