• Friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you e.g. with Joining.

• Access to the library Catalogue 
• Services for Teenagers and Children
• Services for people with disabilities including a Home Library Service to deliver our services to people who are housebound.

Individual libraries offer:      

• Local Studies and Family History - Bournemouth Library's Heritage Zone.
• Printed music, and a large collection of recorded music, music books and magazines - Bournemouth Library's Music Zone.
• Information on business, Europe, Bournemouth Borough Council, work, courses and funding - Bournemouth Library's Ask Here desk. An 'Ask Bournemouth' Council Customer Service Centre at Boscombe Library.
• Meeting Rooms - Bournemouth, Kinson and Westbourne libraries. Also a Community Room in Springbourne Library.
• Toy Libraries - Kinson,West Howe and Winton libraries.
• Computers for very young children - Bournemouth, Strouden and West Howe libraries.
• PlayStations for teenagers - Boscombe, Strouden and Winton libraries.

• Homework Clubs, Story Times for Children, and Baby Wriggle and Rhyme events for children (under What else happens...).
• Reading Groups for adults and for children
• Coffee mornings
• Computer 'Peer Support' sessions.
• Courses, including those at the Community Learning Centre.
• Specialist help and advice desks e.g. Citizens' Advice Bureau, Police, Solicitor, MP, Councillor and Street Warden surgeries and help with learning and work, benefits, pensions and housing...
