Joining your library is easy
Membership is free and open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Bournemouth.

To join and borrow items, visit any library and complete a membership card application form, remembering to bring proof of identity and permanent address e.g. driving licence, bank statement or other official documentation.

If you are fifteen years old or under, we will need your parent or guardian to sign your membership card application form.

You will be given a library membership card, which you will need to show whenever you wish to borrow items.

You may use any of our twelve Bournemouth Libraries. For more information about Library opening times and contact details click here.

To search for books and other items we have in stock, to reserve an item or to renew books you already have on loan, you can use our online Library Catalogue.

Click one of the links on the left hand menu to find out more about borrowing and charges, or using the Library Catalogue.
