Births, Deaths, Marriages & Civil Partnerships at Bournemouth Registration Service

Welcome to the Bournemouth Registration Service.

The following pages provide information about how to register Births, Deaths, Marriages, Civil Partnerships and Citizenship Ceremonies in the Borough.

It also shows other services we offer. Bournemouth Register Office is located at:

The hours of opening are Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm for birth and death registrations, notices of marriage and notices of civil partnerships  all by appointment only.

We hold all birth, death and marriage registers for Bournemouth dating back to 1837.

If you require copies of any certificates you can either write to:

The Superintendent Registrar, Bournemouth Register Office, Town Hall, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY.

The fees for a copy certificate are as follows:

BIRTH ... Full certificate (with parents' details)   £7.50
          ... Short version   £5.50
MARRIAGE & CIVIL PARTNERSHIP   £7.50
DEATH   £7.50

 All cheques should be made payable to Bournemouth Borough Council.
