Bournemouth Sports Forum

Bournemouth Sports Forum, in association with Bournemouth Leisure Directorate, will consider applications from clubs, teams and individuals for Grant Aid to assist with the promotion of their activities.

NATIONAL

Sport England

Invest in projects that help people start and succeed in sport. There are two funding streams - community and national.

Community: See 'Awards for All'.

National: This year Sport England have £2million to fund projects in the South West.

Awards for All

A lottery grants scheme that can offer grants of £500 to £10,000 to help fund community projects.

Football Foundation

Provide financial help for football for all levels. Grants range from £100 to £1million.

Foundation for Sport and the Arts

Have around £60million annually to donate to sports and arts organisations. They also offer funding to individual sports people. Grants of up to £75,000.

Big Lottery Fund

An organisation that hands out half of the money for good causes from the National Lottery. It uses Lottery funding to help make big, positive changes for communities. Ranging from providing smaller grants for local people to funding big, national 'transformational' projects.

The Princes Trust

Through practical support, including training, mentoring and financial assistance, they help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives.

Sport Link UK

They can help in two ways, either through the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), which provides tailored services to meet the needs of the young athlete, or through Sports Grants offering direct financial assistance for 12-16 year olds.

Sportsmatch

A government incentive scheme that works by matching £ for £ commercial business sponsorship for projects that increase participation at a community level. They have approximately £3million a year to award.

UK Sport

UK Sport develop world class performance programmes to ensure that athleets with genuine medal hopes at major championships have all the support they need to compete and win at the highest level.

Bournemouth Sports Forum - Grant Application Form

The following conditions will apply:

1. Applicants must reside within or be members of clubs within the Borough of Bournemouth.

2. Applications must be endorsed by the applicant's club or association.

3. Applicants must be prepared to appear before the Sports Forum to answer or clarify points arising from the application.

4. Grants awarded under this scheme will normally be for a proportion of the total expenditure involved, are subject to the funds available and will not normally exceed £100. If you consider you are eligible for consideration, please complete the attached form and return it with the appropriate requested documents to:-
