Sports Development Worker for Vulnerable Children

A service for all Children and Young People who are involved with Child Care and Family Support to increase their participation and opportunities through sports and leisure activities.

 

There are a variety of different projects to achieve this aim, including activity days, residentials, individually tailored referral packages and the Healthlink Special Scheme – detailed below.

Healthlink Special Scheme

 

Healthlink special is a leisure discount scheme for looked after children, foster carers and foster carers own children.

They are offered a Healthlink Special card which entitles them to 50% discount on a variety of activities at local leisure centres including swimming, exercise classes and the gym.

The centres taking part in this scheme are Littledown Leisure centre, Stokewood Leisure centre and Kinson Swimming Pool.
