The Food Safety Team investigates food safety complaints, food poisoning incidents, undertake sampling and provide food hygiene training. We undertake food inspections and enforce food legislation. We offer advice and guidance on food safety issues to members of the public and local businesses.
The Food Safety Team strives to ensure that food and drink intended for sale for human consumption, which is produced, stored, distributed, handled and consumed within the borough is without risk to the health or safety of the consumer.
