The Public Protection Team enforces health and safety legislation in approximately 7000 businesses in Bournemouth.  They investigate certain accidents, incidents and complaints about health and safety conditions at work.  It provides advice to employers and employees on health and safety. The Public Safety Team also carries out inspections of businesses for health and safety.

We treat health and safety complaints very seriously. If you wish to report a specific problem in the workplace (where we enforce health and safety legislation), accidents or incident do contact us. You will be asked to give the name and address of the premises you are complaining about, together with your details. Your personal details are kept in the strictest of confidence, but are necessary so we can contact you for further information or clarification.
