The Council is responsible for ensuring standards are maintained in Bournemouth’s Private Sector Housing. We want to know what people think of some new documents that set out what the Council expects landlords, tenants and owners to do, and what service you can expect from us.

There are nine privately owned permanent residential sites in the Borough accommodating over 500 park homes. Each requires a licence from the Council based on Government Model Standards that are issued from time to time.
The Boroughs’ current licence conditions cover such matters as:
The maintenance of the park in a clean and tidy condition;
Sites are inspected on an annual basis to ensure:
The council also deals with queries from park operators about licence requirements and complaints from residents about site conditions. Advice is also given to owners and residents about obligations under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 and Mobile Homes Act 1983 relating to security of tenure, the sale of mobile homes and other matters relating to agreements between the parties.
