Proud To Care
Raising awareness of the contribution that homecarers make to residents’ lives each and every day
Thousands of local people currently work as professional homecare workers in the area, providing a vital service which enables local residents to live independently in their own home with the kindness and support of a dedicated homecarer.
The work of homecarers cannot be undervalued and that is why we've launched a campaign called Proud to Care to tell people about the the contribution that homecarers make to residents’ lives each and every day.
What’s it like to be a homecarer?

As well as our local Proud to Care campaign, we are proud to be part of Proud to Care South West.
Proud to Care South West is a partnership of 16 local authorities and Health Education England working together at a regional level to raise the profile of a career in care and health.
Through Proud to Care, we want to raise the profile of care work and celebrate the positive contribution that people working in care make to our local community. It's a challenge we are addressing by making people aware of how rewarding and worthwhile care work is as career choice, and encouraging the positive image that care deserves.
