The cliff lifts will be opening soon, please check this page for updates.
About the cliff lists
Bournemouth’s cliff lifts run between Easter and the end of October. They can get you to the beach from the cliff tops and give you great views of the coast (subject to weather).
West Cliff Lift
The West Cliff Lift was built in 1908. It links the seafront to the Bournemouth International Centre.
East Cliff Lift
The East Cliff Lift was also built in 1908. It the links the beach to the Russell Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.
Unfortunately, due to a significant cliff slide, the East Cliff Lift is currently out of action. Remedial work is ongoing and we apologise for the inconvenience.
Fisherman's Walk Cliff Lift
The Fisherman’s Walk Cliff Lift was built in 1935. It links the beach to a cliff top café and children’s play area.
