Sustainable Food City Partnership
We work together with the Sustainable Food City Partnership, a collection of local people, businesses, community groups and public sector organisations who have come together to grow a flourishing city region where sustainable, nutritious food lies at the heart the community.
Partner Award Scheme
The free of charge Partner Award Scheme is designed to support and promote what your business offers to the many local people and tourists who are looking for sustainable food outlets to dine with.
This 5-star accreditation scheme works to reward ethical and sustainable business practise in the Bournemouth and Poole area by recognising excellence in the following areas;
- Local sourcing
- Sustainable sourcing
- Managing recycling and waste
- Working with communities
- Communicating the great things happening in these areas
Events and promotion
We also promote our members through our social media sites and other media channels, as well as consider them for our “Restaurant Hop” events, where we introduce groups of up to 25 local residents to local restaurants that share our passion for sustainable business practices.
Make a difference
We encourage our business partners to help us to ‘Make a Difference’ by sponsoring our work with food poverty across the two towns. With nearly 25% of children in food poverty there is a lot of work to be done and we can only do this with your help. Think of us as your socially responsible best friend and help us to bring free meals to children during school holidays, teach families how to grow and cook their own food or set up shared community growing spaces so everyone can access fresh, healthy food.
