Information for Council Tenants
Supporting our tenants
Coronavirus (COVID-19): change to service
On advice from the government regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have changed the way we are delivering some of our services.
See further information about changes to other services.
We are the only Local Authority in Dorset who own and manage our council homes. This decision is supported by our tenants.
We work closely with tenants to offer a service that meets the changing needs of our community. For more information see our latest edition of Housing News to find out about our upcoming events.
We have recently produced some information leaflets and sent a relevant one to each property we have responsibility for.
The advice we give is quite different depending what type of property you live in so it is important that you select the correct leaflet for you depending on the type of property you live in and follow only the relevant safety information for that property.

Bournemouth Careline offers easy access to help and support whenever tenants need it. Careline is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Tenants can request Careline equipment to be fitted in their home to help them live independently. Careline is quick and easy to install and gives our tenants, and their families, peace of mind.
Training courses for tenants
Are you interested in getting involved in our decision-making? We’re keen to work with our tenants to find ways to continue to improve our services. Become an ‘involved resident’ and make a difference. We’ll help you with free training courses that cover skills including I.T., money management and customer service.
The Tenants Survey gives results and analysis of how our tenants feel we are performing and how they feel about where they live.
