For people in a care home, sheltered housing, housebound or unable to get to a local library

If you know someone who is:

  • in a care home or sheltered housing

  • unable to get to your local library (and  you don’t know anyone who’s able to collect items for you)

  • Housebound

Then the Home Library service may be able to help.

We deliver a range of library items tailored to your interests. Our free delivery service offers:

  • Books, large print books,

  • Audio books,

  • Jigsaws

  • CDs,

  • DVDs

  • Reminiscence material

We’ve got cassette/CD players available. Visits are every four weeks and customers of the service can make free requests. There’s no charge for anything borrowed for more than one visit.
