Membership is free, and open to anyone who lives, works or studies in and around the area (including Dorset and Poole)

You can hold membership cards for both Libraries West and Bournemouth Libraries.

Joining your library is easy 

You'll need to provide proof of identity and one proof of permanent address: 

  • Driving licence
  • Bank statement
  • Other official document                 

Once you've joined you will have 

  • FREE Computer and wi-fi access
  • Printing and scanning facilities (printing charges apply)                                

You may then borrow:   

  • up to 12 books,
  • Up to 12 CDs and DVDs
  • 5 eBooks
  • eAudiobooks

Without proof of address you may borrow up to six books and access the computers. 

You can borrow and return books to any Bournemouth Library,
