Could you make a difference to someone's life?

It’s not long until you can find out more about professional home care job opportunities in the Bournemouth area. As part of the Council’s Proud to Care campaign to celebrate the contribution that home care workers make to vulnerable adults, a special Recruitment Fair is being held in Bournemouth Square on Friday 26 May 2017 (9am – 4pm).

Representatives and professional care workers from several local home care organisations who work with Local Authorities will be on hand at the event to provide information and advice to people who may be considering a career in professional home care, whether part-time or full time, your questions will be answered.

Ivor Cawthorn, Head of Joint Commissioning and Partnerships, said:

“Home care workers play a crucial role in empowering our residents to live independent lives and enabling them to continue to live in their own homes. Professional home care workers are very often undervalued and their contribution to the care sector underestimated and so events like this are crucial in helping to raise the profile of care work and boosting recruitment in Bournemouth.

“I would encourage anyone who may be thinking of working in the home care sector but aren’t sure if it’s for them to pop along for an informal chat.”
