Residents, locals and visitors who regularly use Bournemouth car parks can now take advantage of new annual Evening and Weekend Permits. Introduced by Bournemouth Borough Council the new permits are easy to apply for online and make the process of parking even simpler.
Using a new online system, individuals can set up an account, apply and pay for a permit or change their registered vehicle number via their computer or mobile device. The new permits are completely virtual. Permits can be shared between two vehicles, however, only one vehicle at a time can use it. Permit holders can quickly select online the vehicle they are using each time they wish to park.
Councillor Mike Greene, Transport, Cleansing & Waste, Bournemouth Borough Council, said: “These new virtual permits will benefit a variety of people including residents, those who work nights or in the evenings and those who visit the area regularly. Straightforward to use, permit holders can register two vehicles and will never need to remember to carry a physical permit again.’’
The new virtual permits are valid Monday to Friday between 5pm and 8am in addition to all-day Saturday and Sunday. They are valid in a group of Town Centre Outer area car parks and individual permits for selected local car parks in Westbourne, Winton, Boscombe and Southbourne.
Permits range from £100 to £200 per annum. For a list of valid car parks or how to purchase a permit, see more information here.
