Slades Farm Community Group
A community garden project that everyone can get involved with
If you love gardening and want to help the community, why not volunteer at the community garden at Slades farm?
Work includes doing nature surveys on site, hedge and shrub maintenance, composting and planting veg. There’re tasks to suit most people though at the moment there isn’t any wheelchair access so if you need a hand getting to the garden please call first.
Please bring gloves to work in and wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. We can provide tools and if you bring your own you’ll have to be responsible for them.
You are welcome to bring your dog, but you have to be responsible for them too and please remember to bring waste bags for them.
If you’d like to join in, or have any questions such as when the next dates for gardening are please get in touch.
Where it is
Just between Ensbury Avenue and Talbot woods you can get to the community garden by heading north from the cycle track. It’s between the doggy play patch and the woods.
For further details please contact the project coordinator, Theresa McManus.
