About the Bournemouth Parks Foundation
Bournemouth Parks Foundation is an independent charitable body established in December 2014. The Foundation is independent from the Council and raises funds for improvements and enhancements over and above normal park maintenance.
The purpose of the charity is to support themes including, children’s play, conservation and wildlife, art and culture, horticulture, health and well-being initiatives, sport, educational grants for apprentices and support for friends of and community groups.
Within these themes, projects may take place on any of Bournemouth’s parks, gardens, landscaped areas, woodlands, open spaces, playing fields, playgrounds, nature reserves, allotments and recreational and amenity spaces.
Why are the Parks Foundation involved with commemorative projects in Bournemouth and how could this affect my tribute?
You can make your tribute through a donation. This goes towards either funds for general improvements to parks and green spaces or a specific project or park.
If you make your tribute through a donation and gift aid it, the Parks Foundation can claim extra on top of the donation amount, at no extra cost to you.
