Help With Transport To School
If you’re worried about how to get your children to and from school, we might be able to help
This service is for children under 16, if your child has reached the end of the academic year and is now 16 years old you there is a separate application process. Call 01202 456222 for more information.
We can’t provide free transport for everyone and you’ll have to meet the criteria to be eligible for our help. You can find out more about who we can help in our transport to school guidance notes.
If you are eligible and want to request help with transport to school for your child please complete and return this form.
If your child has an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) then you will need to complete and return this form instead.
Reviews and Appeals
If you disagree with our decision you can ask for it to be reviewed. You will need to put your reasons in writing to The Manager, Access Services, Community Learning and Commissioning, TH E3, Town Hall, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, BH2 6DY.
The original decision will then be reviewed by a Senior Officer within the council who will write to you once they have made a decision.
If you are still unhappy with the decision made by the reviewing officer you can then lodge an appeal with the Appeals Panel. If you would like an appeal form and a copy of the guidance notes please contact the admissions team on 01202 456200.
